'Cars 2' zooms to top of box office

The latest Pixar film easily topped the weekend box office, more than doubling the No. 2 finisher. I'm not surprised because, as I've said before, kid-friendly movies tend to do well at the box office (except for "Judy Moody", who seemingly had her last opportunity for a top-10 spot last week).

Estimated ticket sales for Friday through Sunday at U.S. and Canadian theaters, according to Hollywood.com. Where available, latest international numbers are also included. Final domestic figures will be released Monday.
