'Wimpy' rules

Family-friendly movies often find their way to the top of the box office, so it's no surprise that the movie based on Jeff Kinney's books has done just that. And I won't lie, I kind of want to read the books and see the movie. Am I too old for that?

From The Associated Press:
1. “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules,” $24.4 million.
2. “Sucker Punch,” $19 million. (Review by The AP's Jake Coyle)
3. “Limitless,” $15.2 million. (Review by The AP's Tim Long)
4. “The Lincoln Lawyer,” $11 million. (Review by The AP's Lisa Kennedy)
5. “Rango,” $9.8 million. (Review by Coyle)
6. “Battle: Los Angeles,” $7.6 million. (Review by Coyle)
7. “Paul,” $7.5 million. (Review by Kennedy)
8. “Red Riding Hood,” $4.3 million. (Review by The AP's Christy Lemire)
9. “The Adjustment Bureau,” $4.2 million. (Review Lemire)
10. “Mars Needs Moms!”, $2.2 million.
